About the Opportunity

Join a premier proprietary trading organization to engineer mission-critical, low-latency infrastructure that powers firm-wide position tracking and real-time risk evaluation. In this role, you will build scalable distributed systems designed to transform high-throughput market feeds into immediate, actionable execution data.

Responsibilities

  • Architect ultra-low latency services that process live market updates, global positions, and portfolio risk metrics.

  • Engineer scalable distributed architectures capable of processing multi-million event throughput per second.

  • Construct robust, fault-tolerant messaging frameworks and data pipelines designed for continuous availability.

  • Fine-tune C++ codebases and platform internals to minimize microsecond delays and strengthen overall resiliency.

  • Work side-by-side with quant researchers, trading desks, and core engineering to deliver features supporting dynamic strategies.

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on background crafting high-throughput, low-latency distributed platforms.

  • Core Technical Skills: Modern C++ (C++11 through C++17), with demonstrated mastery of lock-free data structures, multithreading, and low-level memory models.

  • Domain Knowledge: Background working with high message-rate, bandwidth-heavy real-time data environments.

  • Architecture: Proven skill in designing highly available, fault-tolerant software systems.

  • Systems & Networking: Strong understanding of Linux/Unix internals, network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), and socket communication.

  • Data Management: Solid grounding in relational database design and query structure (e.g., PostgreSQL or similar).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Collaboration: Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective technical alignment across research and trading teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Hands-on proficiency using network diagnostics and low-level debugging utilities (e.g., GDB, tcpdump, Wireshark).

  • Prior technical experience within quantitative finance, market making, or high-frequency trading infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary paired with a performance-driven incentive bonus pool.

  • Comprehensive healthcare package, retirement savings matching, and standard corporate benefits.

Equal Employment Opportunity

This partner organization provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status
