About the Opportunity Join an agile, venture-backed infrastructure team building the next generation of high-efficiency GPU cloud computing. We are developing groundbreaking virtualization technology that optimizes hardware utilization far beyond industry standards, backed by $4.5M in funding from premier Silicon Valley investors. This is a high-impact role for a world-class engineer to own the core C++ stack of a rapidly scaling, revenue-generating platform.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and maintain the high-performance C++ core of a proprietary hardware virtualization stack.

  • Conduct deep-dive systems debugging and performance tuning to ensure ultra-low latency execution.

  • Lead research and implementation for complex systems challenges including resource oversubscription and state checkpointing.

  • Balance the development of customer-facing product enhancements with the rigorous demands of production-level systems programming.

  • Collaborate directly with founding leadership to architect scalable infrastructure as the organization grows.

Requirements

  • Expert-level C++ Proficiency: Exceptional mastery of C++ with a focus on performance-critical applications.

  • Hardware Optimization: Proven experience optimizing GPU or Network Interface Card (NIC) performance.

  • Low-Level Systems Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of compilers, low-level networking protocols, and systems architecture.

  • High-Stakes Environment: Background in latency-sensitive sectors where performance translates directly to value.

  • Ownership Mentality: A self-starter capable of managing production systems and delivering high-quality output at a rapid pace.

  • Communication: Ability to relay complex technical concepts and maintain clarity during high-pressure production scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic background in Computer Science from a top-tier research university.

  • Professional experience within high-frequency trading firms, specialized hardware manufacturers, or advanced systems research labs.

  • Leadership aspirations or experience guiding technical strategy in a startup environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity stake in a high-growth, post-PMF startup.

  • In-person collaborative environment in the heart of San Francisco.

  • Opportunity to work alongside elite researchers and infrastructure specialists.
